Nord

Nord is an orderbook-based exchange designed for Layer N, built to provide performance parity with centralized exchanges. Our implementation sustains over 100k requests per second at under 3ms 99-percentile latency, all while enabling composability with the rest of our network.

Optimizing for performance allows us to offer features and user experiences that users expect from centralized exchanges, such as cross-margin, cross-collateral, and highly efficient liquidation.

NEVM

NEVM is the Ethereum Virtual Machine ported to Layer N's network. NEVM allows developers familiar with EVM development, such as solidity developers, to build on Layer N with tools that they are already familiar with. Existing code requires little to no changes to integrate.

NEVM is a public, permissionless, and shared Generalized Virtual Machine. NEVM brings a development environment that developers are already familiar with and love: EVM. NEVM is Layer N’s main shared development instance that any developer can deploy arbitrary smart contracts to.
